The World Chambers backbone systems array has been designed to
allow any number of groupings around a region, an industry or other
characteristics. This is primarily applied through core server-based
online applications such as the official global Chamber-Directory. ChamberTrust B2B, Fairs
and Exhibitions and other WCN databases can also include some cluster
functionality.
The geographic, industrial or other specific cluster
characteristics help to focus in on specific market regions . While free-standing as specialized
cluster communities with their own potentially specialized content, the clusters are designed to seamlessly fit into the
overall backbone systems. Therefore, the cluster communities, while separate, are also ported directly into the backbones covering 12,000 CCIs
many tens of millions of business members.
This yields maximum exposure of registered members to external markets and new
customers, while still allowing focus and more tightly defined
partnerships and bi-lateral or multi-lateral approaches to trade
development.
Clusters
at the WCN hub can take various other forms, depending on the
needs of the associated partners. Clusters at the WCN hub can involve partnerships with
specific regional entities, chamber / board of trade bodies and
/ or public private sector partnerships to broaden trade and
economic development opportunities. UPDATE:

Several WCN CCI cluster expansions and
content enhancements are underway. The 'DISCOVER...' program
-which is a special regional partnership and economic
development program at the WCN- can also
incorporate genuine WCN cluster functions and pair them with
links to economic development and investment offices. Here are
two examples:

educational institutions, is the WCN's primary vehicle for
establishing such clusters, usually within the format of a
private-public sector partnership (P3) to help defray costs.
